This view of the outside of the star fort leads to the Sally Port.  This was the entrance to the Fort for a long time.  The doors you see are made of three layers of hard wood, each aligned in a different direction to make them stronger.  Tours enter the Fort from this entrance.  The lower image is a look at the interior of the main Sally Port.  Top photo by Matt Beaudry.  Bottom photo by Will Eichler
