1848 Limestone Barracks
The original barracks located inside the star fort was constructed in 1848 and is made of limestone. This building has played a part in many important historical moments in Michigan and American history and should be preserved at all costs.
Except for the restored first floor and second floor bunk room much of the building is not currently accessible to the public. However to see some of the history on the third floor please enjoy the photographs below.
